Got this from a good friend, thought I'd pass it along. Many will have received it so pardon if its redundant.
Why did it post so small? It was large font when I copied it and appears as large as this text in my window. But now I need a zoom button.
Moderators can you help blow this text up, I don't see a way from the edit menu. This info would be of interest to the forum I think.
I just received this an am passing it on………..
Conceal Carry – IMPORTANT
I didn't have this happen, but then I wasn't at a V.A.
doctors office. A friend did run into a little of this when he had to visit a
doctor other than his regular doctor when his doctor was on vacation. One of
the questions on the form he had to fill out was: Do you have any guns in your
house?? His answer was "None of your damn business!!" So it is out
there! It is either an insurance issue or government intervention. Either way,
it is out there and the second the government gets into your medical records
(as they want to under Obama care) it will become a major issue and will
ultimately result in lock and load!!
Please pass this on to all the other retired guys and gun
owners…Thanks
From a Vietnam Vet and retired Police Officer:
I had a doctor's appointment at the local V.A. clinic
yesterday and found out something very interesting that I would like to pass
along.
While going through triage before seeing the doctor, I was
asked at the end of the exam, three questions:
1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
The nurse then informed me, that if I had answered yes to
any of the questions, I would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would
have gone into my medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland
Security.
Looks like they are going
after the vets first. Other gun people like retired law enforcement will
probably be next. Then when they go after the civilians, what argument will
they have? Be forewarned and be aware.
The Obama administration has gone on record as considering
veterans and gun owners potential terrorists. Whether you are a gun owner
veteran or not, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !
If you know veterans and gun owners, please pass this on to
them. Be very cautious about what you say and to whom. Your medical records are
all in the hands of the federal government. Obamacare did that to us.
I have heard similar reports to this one.Liberty and

Well thats interesting. They are just looking for an excuse to take away Veterans handguns. I noticed the 3 questions you mentioned:
1. Did I feel stressed?
2. Did I feel threatened?
3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?
IMOP anyone that answers no to any of these questions is not human. Everyone feels stressed at sometime. Everyone feels threaten at sometime. Everyone has the feeling of doing harm to someone at sometime. Even if its a fleeting thought.
Anyone who has been to the V.A. hospital and waited several hours to see a Dr. has to be stressed. You have to feel threaten when they come at you with needles and a endoscopy tube. You have to feel threaten when they put your surgical appointment off for the next 8 months when you needed it yesterday.

Not buying it--
Those are standard questions anymore--there are slight variations depending where you go--they came from the need to identify domestic violence in the home.
I HIGHLY doubt your CCW will be pulled for any of these reasons. First of all the numbers would be huge just in Manpower to make this happen. And as far as I know--none of these are currently disqualifiers for CCW in any state.
I also believe CCW revocation authority is the local law agency...not homeland security.
Just another internet rumor started by some anti....
SHOOT
This was a big issue here in Florida last year when it was
attempted to be placed into law for physicians, especially peds to
ask these questions. I can't tell yo how many letters I sent
to legislators asking whats next, what religion is your family?
Physicians take an oath and this does not allow them to back out of
treating (selecting) their patients!!!!
Rant never over on this issue.

I think this is all part of our booming "information age". Because there is so much information available about our finances, ancestry, interests, and so much more, modern society believes that it has the right to know EVERYTHING! It amazes me the things my family is willing to put on Facebook and blogs about themselves, it is sometimes much more than I want to know.
People want to know everything, and sometimes we end up not having the right or ability to say NO.
Always remember that anything you put on the WWW is public and accessible to anyone with the right skills and techniques, no matter how restricted you think it is. For example, if you ever use your firearm in self defense, not only can your gun(s) be seized, very possibly every computer you use will be as well, and every email/post/blog, etc. you ever made will be examined to determine your motives, state of mind, ...
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

You have no idea how right you are. There is a company getting paid good money to do just that. When a new credit card (and it is heading towards gift cards also) is requested, the information they access and cross check is staggering. All done in five seconds or less. One of the founders told me I would probably have trouble getting another card because I routinely make up phone numbers, birth dates, social security numbers, zip code, area code, mother's maiden name, etc when merchants ask for it. (I got tired of declining to give the info.) Basically my info is not going to match up so the discrepancies will flag a warning leading to a rejection. They have to keep the info for 5 years and answer any requests made by the Feds in the name of terrorism prevention.
On the plus side, identity theft will get increasingly difficult to pull off.
Maybe he was bs'ing me, but I doubt it.

I think what Shoot said makes sense, it's the State and Local authorities that can revoke my permit to carry. Personally, I've been to several doctors recently and have not seen any of those questions. I would however expect it in Massachusetts.

The above questions are fairly common medical questions that have been around a lot longer than our current administration. I even ask them myself on occasion, If warranted. While I put nothing past big brother, I don't believe this is a conspiracy in the makes. But Ill be watchin.
