Moisture trap for your gun safe, relatively inexpensive, should last about a year.

Run down to your local refrigeration supply house and pick up a 48 cubic inch liquid line dryer core.

They'll know what it is.  Keep your guns dry and all your money from getting moldy.

If you want, weigh it when you put it in and then re-weigh at a later date. The extra weight will be water it absorbed. Pop the top and leave it in the can.

Good afternood

Thanks Maxwell..  Just jotted that down in the memory pad that does not forget.  That will be usefule next time we get back up north of the equater.

Of course you could move to a high altitude bone dry desert but then you have to figure out how to keep wood from drying out and shrinking.  Humidity here gets below 5% real regular.

Here's another....

The usual way to deter the humidity issue is with a gun safe heater, but they can be expensive. But piano heaters are the same exact thing and cost much less.

I think I paid $40 for my electronic dehumidifier - Golden Rod...constant 70 degrees and less that 50% humidity.
