I have a question: while I am on the forum I hear gun shots 
, and I do not live near a range. Sometimes every-once-in-awhile, but right now tonight quite frequently. What does this mean?

They are posts in the DWF firing range to the right of your screen. It is like an online "chat range" Just type your message in the box below and listen and read! Try it out.

Yesterday it was real gun shots at our house. Our back fence is the end of the city. The kids next door had moved across the line and did some target practice. It's a bit bothersome to be working ourside and hear the gun shots. Folks also hunt geese in season in the fields on the other side of the fence.
They shoot "next door" and I load up the car/pickup and drive out to the gun club to shoot. Kind of strange.

That's not too cool. I don't think I'd be very comfortable with the neighbors shooting that close, either. It's one thing if you're the only house for a 1/4 mile, but if you're that close to a neighbor, there's a thing called common courtesy...or at least common sense, sheesh!
I know I'd sure be packin' if I was you...just in case one bullet happened to make it's way in your direction, you could send some back!

The range was busy yesterday! I was on a conference call and all of a sudden folks open fired!
Quickly I had to mute my sound!
