So a local guy has a gun he wants to Sell/trade:
Ruger P90DC in 45ACP
3 * 7round mag
1 * 10round mag
Factory hard case/paper ect
Tactical holster and mag holders
some ammo
Cash $400
He wants to trade a handgun to hunt with, and I an think I have him on the hook for my 15-2 ( one of the extra ones) with a 6" barrel
So I shopped GB:

That last one has a Buy it now of only $350. I need $400 worth of something before I will turn loose of either one of the guns I have. And I certainly cant give him more goodies for free ( like one of my "good" grips)
So I am looking for thoughts and comments on this potential trade. I have been wanting to try a semi-auto for a while now, while I would like it to be a DW, they are definately not in my price range (least not till I pay for that darn AC). I have always considered Ruger to be a good high quality product, that performs well and lasts long. Why is this gun so cheap? Any concerns on this model?

My first thought, is the Ruger worth $400? It would seem an even trade to me. Maybe you could sweeten the pot with some .357 ammo.
I had a Ruger KP89DC (stainless, 9mm with de-cocking lever) for a very long time. The things are absolutely bullet proof. Sold it for some reason or another, probably to help fund another DW
I used to be able to unload the gun, make double sure it is unloaded, slide a #2 pencil (eraser first) down the barrel, point the gun towards the ceiling and pull the trigger. The pencil would shoot out and hit the ceiling. Damn strong hammer spring!

I am good for an even trade... This gun is a 1999 model with stated 200 rounds through it.
It seems the current new price (new model is KP90) retail $569, but about $475 to $490 on GB.

Pine - are you trading for a P90 or a KP90? I can get you a new P90 for $420 or a KP90 for $450 (both plus $25 shipping).
Ruger P90DC
This is a 1999 gun, I dont think they make the specific model any more. It is a stainless gun with decocker. It has been replaced by KP90TH ( as best I can tell).
Seems to me to be a marginal trade, the only upswing being all the mags ( 4 in total) and some ammo. However, original 3 mags were 7 rounds each while the new gun ships with 2 mags @ 8 rounds each.
Harley whats the diff between the P90 and KP90? One is stainless?

The Ruger P series has been around forever-- they are cheap because the used market is flooded with them. If you ar ein a Pawn shop state, check there first nbefore you trade. I used to see them in florida for $299 every day.
I did have a P89 for a few years--worked fine, just kind of big.
