This shroud is listed on GB.

I haven's seen one like this but it looks like the shrouds from the fixed barrel models. I wonder if it was custom, or did someone figure how to remove a fixed barrel and is trying to sell it?

I actually really like that look, maybe someone had that angled flat milled at the muzzle end. It does need to be re-blued (or maybe Nickel, because I REALLY like that look). Bye for now, I gotta head over to GB
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Perhaps it's a non-vented/heavy shroud? I've never seen one before, but who knows? Maybe the little notch at the front of the underlug is the style for the non-vented/heavy. One of the pics shows the barrel protruding from the front of the shroud. If it was a fixed barrel I don't think it would do that. JMO.

Every heavy shroud longer than 2 1/2 I've ever seen has had the squared off look. That is really the look of the 2H shroud, a 2H and 4H with that same look would really be cool.

Steve:
Have you seen a non-vented /heavy before? I haven't, which is why I thought it might be the style for the heavy version of the non-vented one. BTW the VH2.5 is squared off too. The non-heavy 2.5 has the kick-up at the front to match the longer non-heavy shrouds. Ask Lawrence to show you the pics of the one I just sent him.
You're probably right that it is something customized.

It probably is just someones mod, but it just looks so like a fixed barrel model it made me think(always a dangerous thing) it even looks longer than 4 inches to me. Any hoo I couldn't stand it so I sent the seller a question. We will see.

The Heavy Non-Vented shrouds are just the VH shrouds with the squared off end. I personally think this is a factory produced shroud. The stamping on the Palmer era guns looks different than on the Monson guns (at least it does on my Lil' Dan) and unfortunately I cant see the markings well enough in the pictures to make a call on which facility I think produced this one.
I personally like the looks of this one. Lbruce thanks for sharing those photos. Just another piece to the puzzle. Now if we can just figure out where to put it!
