I just got offered a 715 VH PP over the phone--guy said it is 100% mint had about 200 rounds through it--original owner--brown case w/gold lining. He's asking $1100, but is pretty much clueless about the gun. I may be able to talk him down quite a bit. What do you guys think current market value is? Has all the goodies, belt buckle, patch, extra sights, extra grip, etc. Considering I never sell any DW's once they are mine, I may pay a little more than someone else.

Shoot,
Here's a 22 PP on GA going for probably a modest price (high end of fair?) so your 715 PP price sounds good to me. Guess it depends hoe much you want it and do you have DWAS?

yea, I looked at that one also… I don't have a .22 pp (yet!). Only reason I keep looking at PP's is because someday there won't be any more pristine kits left. All the DWF guys will own the nice ones and never sell them I have two factory kits now and they are both above average, but not “mint”. I stole the last one for $600 delivered.

I just paid $840 for a quasi pistol pack a 715 in 85% (shot but well cared for, has some hammer wear and a strong dragline) with the 2" 6" 8" and tools. No 4".
But these are Maryland prices where things are obscene anways but I wanted it for a shooter (since my blued pistol pack is so pristine and will see little action).

SHOOT- If I had the funds available, I'd go $1100 for a VERY clean, complete 715 VH Pack. If you can talk him down, give it a try. Have you seen any pics or have prior history with this guy?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I agree with Steve wave $1000 cold hard cash infront of him. Its worth it, as I said I didnt hesitate much for a "shooter grade" at $842 but as I said this is the land of every handgun is at least 10% above MSRP............ but it was local and I could look it over before jumping.

I traded a S&W 460XVR, with dies and brass for my 715 PP, mine is a non VH kit and was original but had not been stored very well, took some clean up. I agree with the others, offer a bit less, but based upon two recent auction prices and if it is as nice as it sounds, I don't believe you would be going way wrong.

Ever have one of those moments.... So I go to look at the PP... it is VERY clean with the only flaw being no paperwork and somebody broke the sight adjust wrench off at the tool handle. No DW sticker on the case either. So the guy keeps telling me to make an offer as I'm trying to eyeball the PP better. SO just to get a feel for a price, I toss $850 at him and await a counteroffer... He says SOLD! I pick it up tomorrow morning and then I'll post a pic.

Hey Shootst:
If I haven't said it before, .
However, I'm a little confused. You said you bought a complete 715 VH PP (by definition a stainless gun with 2.5, 4, 6, and 8 inch vented heavy barrels), yet you are thrilled to find a blue V2 barrel.
Did I miss something here?
Again welcome, and whether it's a 15 or a 715, even without the 2.5 and even if only vented, not vented heavy, $850 is a fabuloud price. I hope you'll enjor shooting it.
-Mike
ps. can't wait to see the pics.
