Well, I'm up at 4:30 now having coffee before going to a jobsite to look at some questionable product that someone without a work ethic screwed up and I'm tired too.
I don't mind helping those that try but for those that could give a crap less about anything but getting some freebies and are at work just to put it the time can drop dead for all I care.
At least drug screen the deadbeats before handing out the check.
This is not the way I wanted to start my day.

I fully agree and identify with the angst most hard working feel when the lazy's complain about not being given enough. This was very apparent here in Houston shortly after hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Suddenly we had a large group of people who seemed to think they were owed something.
I feel fortunate to have a job that I enjoy…I am a mechanic for the local county government. My responsibility is to service, maintain, support and repair buses that are used to transport seniors and retired folks on day trips. The trips can be up to a 200 mile radius from our location and are free to the passengers. A payback to the seniors who spent almost a lifetime of paying taxes. The passengers plan their own schedule and itinerary.
If your tired, you can sleep on the bus
Me: I get up at 3:00 AM, report to work by 4:00 AM and get off work at 1:30 in the afternoon. Driving down the Interstate at ~ 3:30 AM, vehicles average about 1 per mile. What I'm tired of is some A-hole driver who finds it necessary to follow too closely. I don't drive in the left lane and the Interstate is 5 lanes wide; pick another lane

I copied this part from the OP:
I'm willing to fast
track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English,
doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family
on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military….
Those are the citizens we need.
I know several very hardworking and responsible people of Hispanic/South American heritage that I work with, and some are very possibly not entirely "legal". I very much respect people that work and contribute, and have not much use for those who loaf and manipulate. It's not about color or ethnicity, it's about working and accomplishing. I'm much more in favor of citizenship for some of these folks than for people whose major accomplishment in life is being born in the USA.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
