Monson, sb005xxx.
I am the original owner so the covers are stock. other stamps No. 30..LSI Ludlow rust inhibitor.
Typically the wrapper dates are within a few days, to a few months, to maybe 18 months of the gun's actual manufacture date. The "SB" in your number tells me that you should have a stainless .44 Pac...which is a model 744.
Our registry here, shows that it's probably a 1982 manufacture...or very close.

[EDIT] So being the original owner, you already have a good idea how old it is. But looking back at your posts, I found what I assume is a photo of your Pac?

Sorry so long to reply and yes I did make the purchase in the early '80's. I am just checking to see what other information others on here may have that I have not seen. With a lot of the pix I have seen another thing I do not remember seeing many of was a pac like the one of mine two 8" and two 6" (vented and not).
Yes, that is my pac.
Thank you kindly for the replies.
It is time to get back out and see if the cylinder still holds the casings(not releasing freely) after each round of shooting.

What you're describing is "ported" barrels. For the first few years of the .44 model, they shipped the guns with a standard & a ported barrel. The round holes drilled in the end of the ported barrel are designed to be a different approach to a compensator. The only problem is that the design didn't work as well as planned...especially where lead (non-jacketed) bullets are concerned.
If your empty cartridges aren't ejecting easily, give your cylinder chambers a good scrubbing with a brass bore brush & cleaning solvent.
