I've only been a member of DWF for several months, but it appears to me that posting activity is slowing down over the past several weeks.  Since we are approaching the Holiday Season, I was thinking that a slowdown occurs during this time...maybe I'm just hallucinating and my mind is slowing down rather than the postings?  Just curious.

My LT is faster than my OOOOOld desk top, but I do think that this forum seems slower. I also don't know why recently updated topics are not the same if you are not logged on versus once you do log on.Mad

I don't know...Screwy  Somedays I have a lot of reading to do just to keep up!  The forum has close to 900 members now Laugh.  Hot topics bring on more posts; more posts means more side topics... and so it goes.  If we don't have a hot topic...less activity.

Just my observation....

I haven't provided posting stats for a while but will try to get some out this week.  Volume of post on DWF varies and Shoot's observations are as good an explanation as any as to why.

One thing that affects post activity is the DWF Range. There are some evenings when my computer sounds like I'm in Fallujah, with all the incoming from the Range.

Also, elections ended, Health Care Reform came off the front burner, maybe just not so much to talk about.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I think it is seasonal also.  It got rather sluggish in the heart of the summer also, when folks are busy vacationing, traveling and keeping after the yards.  Now the holidays approach and probably more of the same.  I have so many things I'd like to post or discuss, but have trouble just keeeping after reading the exsting posts.

Whew, when I read the thread title I was afraid I'd get the blame for not posting for a couple days. 😛 I'm glad I'm not responsible for a site-wide posting slowdown.Big Grin
