What a DW would look like with a case hardened colored frame ?
I know alot of the SA type revolvers and Winchester rifles look pretty awesome
with the case color look but how about a DW 15 or large frame ?
Gary J you up for the challenge with your photo shop abilities ?

What Dave said. (That was the picture I was thinking about.)
Just my opinion (and worth about half what you pay for it), I don't think case hardened would look good on a Dan. I've had a couple H&R revolvers and still have an H&R 12 gauge with that look. It's okay but I much prefer the deep blue or brushed stainless as a factory finish. Of course this is said by a guy who is lusting over 14 with a well worn finish.

I think the case harden color pattern on a DW might look pretty good especially with a L.B. custom grip. A friend of mine had a 1911 Colt with a case harden look. It was amazing. You can also get a Damascus steel coloration on a pistol too. If I have time I might try to do a DW pistol in the case harden look.

You know, looking at Gary's last pic now, I kind of like it. Fixed sight frame, maybe a porkchop. And a clean smooth grip without medallions. So who's going to get one done?

I wonder who or where you could get one done. I have a few candidates!
I already looked into that before posting

Here is a color pattern I like. It reminds me of Damascus steel
a little. This is a Caspian Damasteel slide from Sweden. It has
a beautiful pattern to it.
A place called Turnbull enhances the color of the steel. makes
the pattern stand out more. The same address as above. A fellow
I know had his frame done like this.
Damasteel looks like this: http://www.damasteel.com/
