Edit: AVG was just giving a false report. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the site.

I run anti-malware and so I felt comfortable visiting LB's site.  No issue with my visit.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

AVG blocks so much of the site, all I see is a bluish-green colored blank screen.

Same green screen here, and AVG removed some sort of "exploit"

I submitted a request for AVG to check it for "false" malware report. It seems AVG may be having some false positives.

Interesting. My McAfee, which is very touchy, doesn't flag a thing.

It's probably AVG. It sometimes seems to have an overactive imagination, I've seen it happen before.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was just AVG, I have seen that before as well. But, I figured better safe than sorry. I'll report it as well, and see if the AVG people get it straightened out.

I use Kaspersky, and have pretty strong trust in Kaspersky.

No red flags with Kaspersky, but I will send LB a heads up to have things checked out.

Not to be confrontational, but with "free", you always get your moneys worth.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yeah, I understand that free software has its quirks. I ran lbcustomgrips.com through 3 other website virus/malware scanners, and they all said the site was clean, so chances are overwhelming that it is. Sorry guys, I guess sometimes being helpful isn't really all that helpful. broken-computer

In the age of our "electronic vulnerability" any heads up on a possible problem is very useful.

If nothing else, it makes all of us take a second look, and be extra diligent.

I've had my main personal email account hacked twice, and there's a good chance that most of us have had the same thing happen.

In the same way that I live my life armed with every appropriate weapon (and awareness is ALWAYS the most essential weapon), I appreciate all the information that friends can supply about the best way to uilze the tools available to me.

Thanks for the Heads Up

Steve

If LB's site has a virus it could be a subversive attack by Alqaida or some other terrorist group, trying to target their worst nightmare, the armed American.

What better way to attack America's most elite handgunners? (you have to admit LB's clientele is a pretty elite group) range-time

Clean on my end. I have been scoping out some grips there and finding I must be a traditionalist.

Wouldn't mind a nice traditional grip with some DW logos embedded.

I worked as a computer guy for 10 yrs or so and AVG used to be pretty decent. In the last few years it seems it got more bloated and less effective.

If you were anything like I was, the IT dept was me. Of course the cleaning crew, customer service, collections, engineering, accounting and complaint dept were also me.

In between all that I still had to get some work done.

I'm pretty sure I know who the IT department is, I was not worried before and I'll be even less worried now worship

Yes I am the CEO,CFO, chief engineer, R&D, Production Supervisor, Production Specialist, Laborer, and general whipping post. But I must defer the IT stuff to someone who actually has a clue about such things. embarassed    Yea Steve, I think we are good.

P.S. But I still have my hair!pokeAlthough it has a lot more salt than pepper these days! big-grin

I have some that going on too.

off topic, sort of, have you ever worked with Corian for pistol grips? I made a set (very homemade looking next to yours) for my first DW 15 30 years of so ago. They held up well to 357 magnums I was shooting.

I still have some of the old style ivory looking corian and was thinking about using it for some grips.
