Currently 2396 Members here at DWF! Over 58,000 Posts in 6200+ Topics!
It was just a little over three years ago that some of us would go onto DWF and be surprised if there was actually a new post since the day before. When I think back over what we didn't know about DW's I'm amazed, and I'm ready to be amazed all over again in 2012.
The point to this is: 4 New Members to get to 2400, 4 days left in 2011
Looking for 4 brave souls to jump in as Members to put us at 2400 before the New Year. If you're "lurking", Come on Down! I can guarantee you a friendly welcome, help with just about any Dan Wesson question you have, and the opportunity to talk shooting specifically, and life in general on the Dan Wesson Forum.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

That's for sure. Speaking for myself, the learning curve since I joined has been more like a huge spike! This place is the greatest, and it's the quality membership we enjoy that makes it that way.
Looking forward to reaching that 2400 mark.

Double Ditto for me. When I found this place I was a self proclaimed DW expert. Now I realise how little I really knew and how much I have yet to learn about DW's. The one thing for sure is that this place has become an important part of my daily life and consider the Brotherhood here as Family. Most of us will never meet but Family just the same. I can't imagine how this place could improve any but who knows what the future holds. Looking forward to another year of the Awesome DWF.

"we've come a long way --baby...!"
Hard to believe how fast the DWF has grown--Next thing you know we'll be at 3k members...
Nice to see how members on the is forum actually stick around for a while... Not only are we a "family" on the DWF, but we have a true family of hardcore committed members that make this place what it is. Glad to be a part of it all...

What I fine so neat about the site is old coots like myself that have been enjoying the Dan Wesson experience for over 30 years seeing the new folks that are just learning about Wesson revolvers and what great craftsmanship and love that was built into each revolver. I am happy to see that they are built again but the pricing will limit the amount of new folks to being able to enjoy the product. I wish they would reduce the pricing to let many more folks enjoy Dan Wesson quality revolvers.

I have been with you for a very short time, but what I see with the membership is very special. Not only are you well versed on all things Dan. You are willing to share that knowledge in a way that is quite different than a lot of forums. Where members are beating them self on the chest shouting look at me.
If there is a down side, it is that hanging around you has made want to buy more Dan's than the checkbook will allow. I give you guys full credit for my back sliding. R S

Rod thank you for sharing the perspective of a new member you describe the very atmosphere that we strive to maintain here at the DWF.

This may run a little long, but you should all expect that anytime I get near a keyboard. A recent event on DWF has sort of clarified for me why the Forum works for us.
I believe we are people who value ourselves in terms of who we are, not what we have. I also think that we strive to make ourselves better by building and creating relationships, not by accumulating more stuff. We talk about the "value" of a gun, and how the buyer or owner of the gun establishes it's value. If the "value" of my life is determined by my possessions, then I allow others to determine that value. Only I can determine the value of my life, only I can build (or destroy) the value of my life.
On DWF the first New Member post of the newest Member on board is as important and "valuable" as my 4591'st post (this one). In this community we all contribute, we all receive, and frankly, we all get along pretty darn good with each other.
Thanks for tolerating a little unsolicited New Year's Philosophy (and no, there has not been any partaking of Holiday Cheer...YET! )

I just saw this post, yes I am 2400, and I thought you guys were talking about powders until I read the post. I will admit I just poped in because it was a DW forum and I had not seen one before, but after reading a few posts I decided to stay. I have posted more here in the last week than I normally post, I am more of a lurker and like to read what others have to say.
