Went to a gun show today and I was amazed to see how many Dan Wesson's were misidentified on the tag. BTW all guns were 357 mag blued guns with the exception of a supposed model 8. That gun had a 38 special labeled shroud but the seller wouldn't let me verify that the cylinder was not chambered for 357. Anyway, there were two 14-2's labeled as 15 and one 15-2 labeled as a 715 and two more 15-2's labeled as 14's. I did tell the guy with the 715 that he was wrong and to think of S&W where 6 represented stainless, and Dan Wesson used 7 to mean stainless. Other than the number of Dan's there were no calibers other than 38/357, no large frames and no 1911's. Was a bit of a disappointment to me, not much other than a bunch of Tupperware pistols, beef jerky and t-shirts and ancient ammo. Saw a few new names to me at least. Also, FNH, I know who FN is but are they the same as FNH? Also saw a Spanish S&W knock off. Waste of the admission IMO.

It seems like most vendors look up their prices from the web auctions like Gun Brokers, etc.. If they don't know what they have. You might find a deal. I bought a DW with a mint looking .38 shroud. I just happen to see L.B. and I asked him if it had a real .38 frame. L.B. pulled out a .357 ctg. and it fit the cylinder perfect. I was a little disappointed, but for 330.00 I had another DW and a .38 shroud. Maybe one day I will find the frame for it.

Went to a local gun show this weekend and found a seller with what he bought as a 15-2 Pac. Turned out to be a 357 SM with V8S BA and 3 extra BAs for a 15-2, plus extras small frame grips and 357 tool. He had paid top of the market price for the Pac he thought he was getting. If it had been a SM Pac it would have cost him double. He didn't know the extra BAs and tool would not work on the large frame SM. Told him he could make more selling every thing in pieces, but he just wanted to sell together, so I helped him out!
Looks like I will be selling some BAs and accessories.
