I don't think I ever posted in New Members, and I have been sort of saving Post #300 for a belated New Members Post. I believe my first post was March 2, 2008, and boy have things changed.
I remember a site that sometimes wouldn't load, posts that took 30 seconds to save (or never did save), and a little group of guys talking about "What Model is this?" There was a DWF Admin, and some guy named Jody that posted constantly, then suddenly they were the same guy!
Now we're 2 members shy of 500, we have great photos and stories, the cleanest and most user friendly site that I've seen, AND THIS IS A LOT OF FUN!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve, this place wouldn't be the same without you. You, along with the rest of our group of fine members are what makes this a fun site to hang out on & gab about guns.
It's sort of fun to be in on the ground floor of a new site, and be able to reflect back on how things were in the "old days". I've got a couple like that myself.
Here's to a great 300, and looking forward to many more!
BTW, I just looked down at my own post count...damn, I seem to gab a lot.
Oddly, I'm not really this gabby in person, so this is sort of embarrassing.

You were the first guy to welcome me and from what Ive seen you've been a mainstay of this forum for a mighty long (in DW Forum terms) time.

Welcome to the forum Steve! The first year when by fast... you were actually the 35th member to join!
I appreciate all the input you have given over the past year about the site and all the good advice you've given our other members!
Hopefully we'll have 1000+ members by this time next year. Each post that's made is sent to my mobile phone and it's getting hard and hard to keep up with them!

I've gotten more active lately but have been a guest for some time learning from all of you. I'll look forward to my first year anniversary and the growth in the mean time. Congradulations! To you.
