Very dangerous situation that could have evolved differently. Despite that, pretty Dirty Harry smug owner! Also thumbs up for the Dan. The robber's gun looked like a glock or something similar.

Right there is why you need to have your gun ON you at all times.  You never know when you'll need it.  Turning around like he did and announcing that you have gun ruins the element of surprise and could have gotten the owner and/or customer shot.  He'd have been better off just pulling his own piece with out announcement.

Good story and ending, glad all ended well for store owner. I think if I was him I would be carrying that DW 24/7.

Very cool store owner.

After viewing the video, I will call that revolver to actually be a High Standard Sentinel MK11, judging by the writing on the barrel and the shape of the grip.

You may be right Lonwolf93, I can't see the writing on the barrel, but that grip does look like a HS grip.

I agree, it does look like a Sentinel.

Cool story though, plus the Sentinel had a chance to live up to it's name!smile

I agree. If he ever tries that with someone who really means business, he's dead. I know if I was robbing a store (not something I'd ever do), and the guy tells me he has a gun, and turns around to get it, I'm not betting my life on the idea that he won't shoot me in the back as I'm running away. Then again, maybe that's why I'm not dumb enough to rob stores....(along with the whole morality thing..)

And if I was the store clerk, either I find a way to get the gun without his knowledge (which is why it's better to have the gun on your person, or under the counter), and shoot without warning (something the media doesn't like, but its much safer and more efficient than threats. Even a miss is more convincing than words), or I don't get the gun, and I just give him the money. Otherwise, he gets too many opportunities to kill me. This story is just a good example of how easily these situations can escalate, and how lucky so many people get.

Oh, and it is a nice gun.
