They did bring it back at a stupid high price, it pretty much flopped.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks Steve guess they thought they could just rip people off, too bad deals like that cause you to buy none of their products.

You know what, they will screw the pooch again, unless and until they put a .357 Magnum in the marketplace at a reasonable price. Sell a 6" stainless .357 for $500-600, and sell the heck out of grips, B/A's, sell a Pistol Pack (does any of this sound familiar?) and make money on the add ons

I think CZ is too big to get it

AND get back into the Supermag market. I'm not very smart, but even I can see that the BIG $$$ is in the premium/unobtanium market

.357 SM is the poor man's Big Thumper,

.445 SM is vastly under appreciated for bringing the most a .44 caliber bullet can do

What about 5 rounds of something absolutely beastly in .50 cal?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Don't stop at .50, make it a real magnum with a 1.285 case length.  Call it .50DW Magnum. Then add a .505 SM and a .60DW Magnum and a .610 SM.

Big game handguns!

Imho, people will pay for quality. Don't have to give it away , but must also price compete. A real small frame that can be concealed would be a great addition. 327  federal would be sweet and good for varmints with a long barrel, conceal with a short one.Even those pesky whitetails in your yard. More women should shoot dans. How about pink grips? A lanyard ring to dangle under skirt, sweater, or hoodie? Must be the new format making me crazy.

Hot market now is CCW / tactical.  My preferences aside, the "service revolver" is dead for a host of reasons and can't remember the last time I saw a young person take up handgun hunting or long range targets.  A concealable DW revolver would be nice but would require new design and tooling thus higher investment cost.  Given that everyone else has been at the dance for years already and can underprice as needed to maintain market share I can't see the economics working out.

Being a sixgun guy I hope they get back into revolvers to stay but my expectations aren't high right now!

Plus the fact for a CCW you don't want a really expensive one. If you do ever have to use it you may never see it again. When your told the LEO to drop it, you drop it, not lay it gently on the ground.

Endeavor to persevere,
Press on regardless.

Greetings

Well I will not hold my breath.. even having lived here at 8000 for years.  Once DW left good family control big buisness did the typical dance they always do.

Happily enough real DWs were made I can live out a life time adapting frames and cylinders to have all the neet calibers ever desired in the best frame ever built.

Now if someone would come up with an affordable 5 shot cylinder for the large and SM frames !

Exactly.  Then we could have the .50DW magnum, .60DW magnum, .505SM and .610SM. Eric could make barrels and we'd be off and running.

big-grin

If CZ/DW made a move outside the box, with new calibers in the Big Guns-BRAVO!

If CZ/DW came out with a 715 Pistol pack at a sensible price-HOORAY!

When CZ/DW tries to recycle the 715 6VH at $1000+ well, my position on this is pretty well known. What is retail on a standard, garden variety Stainless 6" S&W .357 Magnum? Ruger 6" Stainless .357?

If wishes were nickles we would all be rich. How about .50 cal DW supermag with depleted uranium bullets for hunting engine blocks. Or eight shot 22 magnum. A flashlight built onto the bottom lug of the shroud. A barrel tool that fits into the grip. A  .45 acp with moon clips because thats the only ammo you can find( in the future). I didn't get my nap today, I'm being silly

A laser site built into the underlug. Actually I don't think this would be too hard, wink Eric?
