Hello everyone, Gary here. I introduced myself earlier in the new guy forum, mentioning the new to me DW 15-2 pistol pack I purchased. The 8 inch barrel is finished and will need to be replaced. The remainder of items do show lots of wear but no gouges or metal dings. The lock up is tight with virtually no end shake and timing alignment looks perfect also.I will be shooting this gun regularly with both 357 magnum and 38 spl+P ammo as I have a large amount of both and enjoy shooting both. So far it is more accurate than I am with the three good barrels. DA action pull is as slick as wet ice and break is like the proverbial glass rod. Here is a photo, best I can figure it was manufactured in either 1977-1978 and has Monson Mass, USA stamped on the frame. I think I did well for $350.00 American(well now I know I did well ). Also feel free to give me any advice you think I might need. I did receive and read the owners manual as well as the other literature that came with the gun.

Great looking Pac Gary, yours sounds like it's in about the same shape as mine...been shot a lot. A 15-2 standard barrel Pac is sort of unique, as most Pac's seem to have been the V or VH style srouds. This is first time I've seen that style of short grip, I wonder what the story is on that...like whether it's an aftermarket or DW item?
For the money, you definitely got yourself a deal. Congrats!!
Your 8" barrel is worn out, then? You can still buy new ones from DW, by using the info in the "Where can I order parts" link on the right of this screen under FAQ's.

Gary:
Advice? OK, I advise you to ship that PP to me for safe-keeping. Then just try to find me when you want to use it.
All seriousness aside: That was a great price. I don't know how familiar you are with DW parts, but when you order that new barrel make sure you specify barrel only. There's no need to incur the expense of a new shroud as well.
Just trying to be helpful; you did say you are a newbie.
