LGS that had a bunch of powder and primers a couple of weeks ago is still well stocked. Lot's of .223 available, and a couple of pallets of Speer Lawman 9mm now out there too.
AND the local Cabela's has a variety of .22 lr available, including my all time favorite, Federal Auto Match, still with the one box per customer restriction. BUT, they advised me to buy one box (325 rounds) online once a day, it will be pulled from stock and held for pickup. Since I "buy" one each day, at the end of the week I can go in and pick up my 2200+ rounds of .22lr all at once. Beats the hell out of buying one, going to my car to drop it off, and go in to buy another
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

You guys are killin' me here with the "living in the sticks" talk. I can only dream of it.
To most of my peers, I live in the sticks...my commute is 48 miles one way into Salt Lake. Even the weather patterns are often vastly different from my place to S.L. It can be snowing/raining/sunny (whatever) in S.L. & my house is the exact opposite. It's really odd sometimes. I'll leave home with mild skies & sunshine & end up in a friggin' whiteout (winter time) by the time I reach S.L. & vise-versa. Same goes for wind & rain.
I think I have at least...(wait, I'm counting)...okay 19 (nineteen) stoplights not to mention the various stop signs (many of which have no reason for existing) during my commute, not to mention 23 miles of I-15 potential hell. And if I-15 is a plugged up parking lot, due to some stupid driver who couldn't stop texting or handle the weather, then the commute time easily doubled from the usual 50 minutes to 2+ hours.
In a nutshell, I long for the quiet area of my youth...on a farm, in a small town, with zero stop lights. When I was a kid, I (any kid is likely much alike in reasoning) longed to get out of there & into the big city. Somewhere different. Now all I want to do is get back, or at least some relevant version of that.
My EX keeps telling me that housing prices in my area are on the rise & that I should jump on it...and with each new stop light in the path of my daily commute, I am gradually considering doing just that!
Woops, so to wheel my post back around onto the thread topic, I don't consider anything as "getting better" until prices & demand get back to at least within 20% of 2008 prices & demand. So there.
