I have seen the common buckles go for 40 to 100 or more. The limited edition buckles sell so infrequently I don't think it is possible to be authoritative about them. If you are selling it on eBay we may find out. Good luck.

I going to get some Brasso and clean it up, hoping to get the black stain cleaned.

If this is brass I should be able to get it pretty clean.

Agreed with the others here....it's pot metal.  If you polish it the only thing you'll do is take the finish off so if you can't resist, as Dan Fan said try it on the back.

All of you are right, it is a 14 K gold overlay on pot metal, I just did a mild soap and water clean up buffed with a soft cloth put it in a small zip lock after letting it dry overnight.
