I meant to post these the other day when Steve posted his...better late than never? This is two of the three glass enclosed cases I've got stuffed with 1:18th (mostly) cars...the enclosed cases are nice because I don't have to clean as often.
These pics were taken a while back, just before that CT70 magically turned into a 7445 SM.
I've got maybe 18 more 1:18th cars scattered around the house, most of which are in their own single car sized clear plastic case. Since I started buying DW's, I haven't bought any new cars.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well, I found another bargain for my youngest son Josh... A 1979 Honda Z50-- believe it or not, it starts right up !!! I rode it around the yard twice before the rear tire went flat... needs a little bit of work (like removing the lawn mower gas tank and finding a cap for the original tank). The best part is I traded a savage .22 rifle that I had $70 invested in for it ... This could be a nice restoration project for us.

Wow, look at that…a real Z50 that still moves under it's own power!
BTW, those handlebars look like late 90's flavor XR50 bars, not that that makes any difference in it's ridability.
As soon as I bought it, I thought the same thing about the bars… gonna have to do some research.
I'm lucky the rear wheel went flat as soon as it did-- as soon as we started to tear into the bike we found it had ZERO oil in it !!! I need to order about $30 in parts just from initial inspection to get it running safely.

Thanks Photo! We love it... They do require a lot of attention (and money) to maintain though.
Okay looks like I might have a new hobby that will take some of my funds! I just got a new Nikon D5000 DSLR. I've only taken a couple dozen photos so far but it seems like an awesome camera. All I can say at this point is folks be prepared for some serious competition for the 2012 calendar.
Thanks Photo for the guidance on my purchase!

I finally gave up on cameras like that because I knew they were capable of so much, and I'm not. Along those lines, I'm spending a couple of hours each night coping with/learning a new smartphone (Droid 2) and it's much smarter than me

OK, I need some mintrail engine help...
The Z50 is running fine, but it is puking oil out of a factory hole in the front of the head. Hole is supposed to be there. I pulled the head off all the way back o the crankcase--the "hole" is an oil passage that leads all the way back to the crankcase. There doesn't seem to be any type of valve anywhere--just an open passage all the way to the OHV's.
Any help?

Jody:
Speaking of expensive hobbies and Nikon. I now have 27 Nikons, well actually only 23; 4 of them belong to my wife. Most are film but I have several digitals in the collection as well. Definitely an expensive hobby.
Enjoy your new toy. It's definitely an exceptional camera.
