I really like my Skinner Alaskan peep sight on my lever marlin rifle, works well for my aging eyes, it now has a 23" sight radius.  I was thinking a Skinner sight might be something I'd like on a 6" or 8" DW.  Screwy idea?screwyscrewyscrewy

Have you ever used any of the Merit Optical Devices ?

I sometimes use the handgun one that attaches to my eyeglass lens for handgun shooting

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

No, very interesting.  I did see the hunting disc sight referred to by Skinner, didn't realize they had a broader product line.  Yeah, those might work.  Thanks!

There is a lot of discussion as to the actual optical effects of a peep on a handgun (distance from eyes, etc).  However, I second the Merit disc for your glasses/hat/etc....me and a thousand other guys have used them.

I'm playing around now with black static cling vinyl with pin holes placed on my glasses. It is pretty amazing the sight picture you get.

If your wearing shades the vinyl can go on the inside of the lens, no one knows the better.  smiley face!
