Some months back I had posted about the possibility of moving to Perth, Australia. Well it happened. The company my wife works for moved us here, all expenses paid. We are on work visas for up to 3 years. We have been in Perth for about 2 weeks now and have finally found an apartment we like, and should move into early next week. So, wile my wife slaves away at work, I slip my 1 year old daughter into the stroller and walk about the city. I have been taking pictures here and there, so for anyone curious about what the end of nowhere looks like, head on over to this link -> http://photobucket.com/perthwa
Australia is in it's "winter" months. The high today was 23c (about 73F).
I'll add more photos as I take them, until I max out my space on Photobucket.

Wayne, glad to hear from you!
One of my family members recently returned from a 4 month stay at Byron Bay & sent many pictures similar to what you've shown. Some of the different animal & bird types there are sure interesting. The Australian coast really looks like a beautiful place to live, I'd love to see it myself one day.
Congrats on the new addition to the family, that's great! A while back, I wondered if there may be a new addition to your family, I just had a feeling somehow. Odd, huh? Anyway, I hope you have a great experience during your time there.
Hey Wayne, thanks for sharing the pictures and checking in! I would certainly like to have some of that weather here in Virginia right now. The humidity has been unbearable!
Looks pretty nice there... the greenways in the city are nice. They have started working on aminities like there where I live beside the river that flows throw the area.

I was in Perth in the early eighties, thanks to uncle sam, and it was great, the people realy treated Americans well, hope they still do. Would like to go back someday but with this gun addiction I have, I don't think I will ever have the extra funds. Don't want to upset peta, but some of the ranchers use to get us to go out with them to thin out the roo population, hate to say it, but we had a blast.
