Hello all, 32BD1B26-0465-4A33-9F2F-5E20C2C611DD.jpegImage Enlarger

Requesting some knowledgeable advise.  Ive been in search of barrels, shrouds, & nut for my DW W12 38 Special.  Tuff to find.  I found some 38 special pieces in France(pic attached) unfortunately they do not ship to the USA.  There is also a eBay listing for a 6 “ 357 barrel it fits a early model 15 ugly nut style (link attached) will this work on my 38 special (pics attached)?  I think I read you can shoot a 38 round in a 357 but not a 357 round in a 38 or vis versa.
Thanks in advance

Yes, the 6” .357 barrel assembly should work fine on your W12. Any slight variance in front sight height should easily be rectified with the adjustable rear sight. Since a .357 cartridge will not fit in your cylinder you have no worries there.

The 6" appears to be a model 12 BA. You should have no issues with it other than it is drilled and tapped. 38 Special and 357 barrel tubes are the same thing. If your gun is chambered for 38 only it is a model 9.

The 2 BAs pictured appear to be from a model 14-1. I cannot tell for sure if it is a 14 or 14-1. The 14 has a taller sight than the 14-1. If the front sight is too short the gun will shoot high. I would not count on the rear sight being able to compensate for the difference. You can put a 15 on a 14 and mill the front sight down but but you can't make a lower front sight taller except by replacing it.
