I was taking a break and looking at the post stats and here is a brief summary: The 3 moderators and administrator account for 30% (20,908) of all 68,950 posts. With the next top 9 posters, 13 members account for 60% (41,512) of all posts. WOW!!! The balance of the 27,438 posts are split between the remaining 2,756 members!!!

Boy those guys talk a lot!
All kidding aside, ever since I joined the DWF I have seen that there is a core group of very knowledgeable Dan afflicted guys that make the site the great place it is. Most of which are in the high posters. There are I think another maybe dozen members who are also very knowledgeable but don't post as often, Harly you fit in there, you have a lower post count but you are certainly a source of a lot of great info.
Then there are guys like me who until a couple years ago had no clue as to the qualities of these pistols, and now are sort of students of these core members, sucking in all the great info here on .
Maybe I am a Dan Wesson 'grasshopper' like in the movie Karate Kid?

This is interesting, I have looked at those numbers as well.
DWF is a pretty specialized shooting Forum. Many people come here to get information, and then drift away. That's really OK, I have am a "drive by" member on about 30 forums, most of which I could no longer log onto because I don't know who I am or what my password is (and one unforgettable experience where I got banned ). There are four Forums I visit daily, others that I visit intermittently.
Many people come here just to sell, that's OK too, we get some pretty good deals that way.
Like many smaller Forums, we have a core group of regulars that changes a little over time. There are a couple that were VERY active in the earlier days, that just disappeared one day for reasons not known.
DWF "is what it is", a friendly, helpful place where all are welcome and everyone contributes. I thank and welcome everyone that comes on board. There was a time that I personally welcomed every New Member, and read every post. I regret that I have not kept up with that responsibility so much lately.
But, It's Still Fun!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
