Does anyone know history on ppc guns made by DW and S&W?Where they all contracted out to gun smiths who reworked factory guns? Did either factory make any and how many?Is the only real diffrence shroud and scope mounts.Would you buy one by s&w at the right price even if its not a DW?

I think all the DW PPC guns were made by Dan Wesson/Wesson Arms. S&W never made PPC guns, as these were all custom made by gunsmiths, usually to the customer's specifications.
There is a dealer here in Houston that usually has a few used S&W based PPC revolvers. I have thought about getting a close look at them but am not sure what to look for, as in weather the work was professionally done or a hidden hack job.

I am looking at one put together by wilson combat,most of the ones i have seen are by bill davis or clark.Where these guns used for plate shooting ?

Well I bought ppc made by wilson combat never fired owned by one of the sponsored ppc shooters by wilson combat thier is no history on wilson ever making a ppc revolver only automatics,will post pictures when I get it.
