I was in my local pawn shop today and came across a Dan Wesson pistol pack with everything except the belt buckle. It is a .357 with 8,6,4,2 1/2" barrels with the wrench , gauges and patch . Looks like it had the Zebra wood grip . The whole set up was in pretty good shape. What would be a good price ?
Also he had another Dan Wesson .357 with 8 " barrel with factory grip in good shape . What would be a good price on this also ?

As Ole Dog and rwsem said, it depends on your area, actual condition, shroud style, etc.
$1100-$1300 for the pac sounds about right to me, not being able to see it. I do believe it should have come with two grips (or at least a blank to make your own).
You didn't say if the 8" has the barrel tool and/or gap tool. I personally stay under $500 for just the revolver.
It would have also been helpful to know what they were asking for them. I may be wrong but I believe that most pawn shops more or less double the price. If you walk in with cash and offer a bit less you might get a pretty good deal.
I hope they are still there for you next week.

The 8" does not come with anything. Just the pistol. As far as price he said he WAS asking $1400 for the pac and $700 for the 8" pistol , but they have been there a while and he would definitely entertain offers.
Are these prices OTD? (out the door) or do you have to add tax and transfer? I would hope it is OTD.
I don't know your budget either. Are you interested in both of them or just one or the other?
Being I have not seen them nor do I know what shrouds they have, the condition of the pac case etc. this would be my suggestion as an OTD price. It is a pawn shop and as I said, they probably paid out about half of what they are asking. This also includes being in really good condition. If you divide the asking prices by two it is $1050. If you are interested in both I'd offer $1600 cash for them. I would have the cash on me. I figure $1150/1200 for the pac and $400/450 for the 8" (as it has no tools etc. and that is something you mention during the process). I would not break it down like that to them, I'd just offer the $1600 for both OTD.
If you are only interested in one or the other you may have to go a bit higher but I wouldn't.
You may be able to start at $1500 for both (or even less) depending on how long they have been sitting on them but it may turn into a fiasco, then again, you might get a really good bargain??? I would pay $1600 for them if everything were really nice/exceptional. It seems to be a fair offer for both sides.
Please remember this is MY opinion. Your opinion (and that of others) may vary.
FYI, I recently picked these two up at a pawn shop for $800 OTD. I thought it was a good deal.
