Had Marty Overstreet of Circle Bar T Leatherworks build this case so I have everything I need to be able to switch between 8" and 6" barrels while at the range - don't need my full range bag. Marty is a true craftsman and likes nothing better than to do new pieces. We had a good time designing and fitting this out. The finish is called "sunburnt" because he lays it in the sun for varying periods of time with his secret recipe oil on it. The texture and depth of the grain is unique. He has made a gun rug for my Valor and, when my turn comes around, I want him to build one for a BHP T series. Great guy to work with and, as they say, one of nature's true gentlemen.

THAT is an awesome looking rug!! I love it - it screams class and craftsmanship! What a beautiful piece of work your buddy turned out. Can I ask what the piece in front of the muzzle is? Congratulations on a job well done - I wouldn't mind having one made just like it.
Thanks. Marty is a very inventive and creative guy. We must have spent 10 hours on the phone, only a about 30 minutes on the rug and the rest talking guns and leather and life. If you want to see more of his handiwork, go to his Facebook page (Circle Bar T Leatherworks) and you will see many more one of a kind pieces. The small holder in front of the muzzle is for a bottle of oil, just in case. I am going to be looking for a small sterling silver bottle to put in there...I think it deserves that level of class.

Robert- It looks like there a number of guys here who would like to buy a similar item, especially since there can be some "customizing" possible.
DWF can be pretty friendly to a supplier of DW custom items, and especially Dan Wesson Forum specific items. I'm guessing that a bunch of custom DWF rugs of that quality, maybe personalized, would sell well.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve, I would be happy to pass that on to Marty. As with most good craftsman, he is usually pretty will backed up - I probably won't see the rug for the BHP for several months - but he may be interested in a steady stream. What would be the next step if he is interested?
And thanks for the suggestion. Always good to promote good people who provide first class service - we need more of it.
