Well, just had a wheelgun-weekend with my oldest son. He's 11. We went to the range and shot both of my DWs and he brought his 22 revolver. Had a great time and got to try out my new DW 14-2. I swapped the shroud for a 15-2 that I had and wanted to see how far off it would be with the original sights. There's already a pair of conversion sights on their way from EWK. Unless I'm consistently low (I MEAN low!) shorter sights are a necessity. 
My son said he had a great time too! That means a lot!
