Well the Salem Gun Show was a bust for me! 
I did see one High Standard with a 6" barrel but they wanted $350 for it and half the blue was gone! So needless to say I passed on this one. Not a single Dan Wesson in the house!
After the show my cousin and I hit a couple of gun shops with no luck. We also visited a pawn shop that has been known to have a DW every now and then and sure enough in the case was a 15-2 LNIB asking price $495. Since I have 2 of these and a 715 didn't need another.
We then hit Gander Mountain to pickup a coyote call. I honestly don't see what the draw is to this store! The prices are outrageous...
We have another show New Years weekend so hopefully I can ring in the new year with a new toy!

Sounds like a fun day anyway!!! We have some gun shows coming up that I might hit.

Jody, they must have sent the good ones out this way! I am always surprised to see DW's at shows then to hear the comments about them. The one you are looking for is out here and hope it is at the next show!

Sounds like Gander Mountain may be about the same as Cabela's here...the prices are often fairly high on most stuff. Except the "sale" items that are meant to lure you in the door, of course.
Well, hope ya have better luck at the next gun show.

did'nt know where to post this so thought I'd drop it here. Stopped at my local gun shop today and was lucky to find a unfired 744 VH8" assy in the box with $154.00 price tag from late 80's and was able to pick it up for $100.00. Now all I need to do is match up with monson era frame.
why do we do this to our selvesI only went in to look over some cowboy action models in 45lc like the cimarron thunder or a sherriffs model. Oh well I got the fix anyway!

deal on the assy. Now if you get a frame with another VH assy, you are well on your way to a 744-pack
