WHAT A FREAKIN' ZOO!! This is the first time I've been in a couple years, and MAN there's a lot of people there! I regrettably wasted almost 1.5 hours standing in line at the ammo booth, just trying for decent deal. The deals were ok..I found some Casull ammo for $39.95/50 and 44 ammo for $29.95/50, both jacketed soft point.
I only had $150 to spend, so I didn't walk outta there with many boxes.
As with the last time I went, most of the guns seemed high priced. However, at one booth, I thought I struck gold when I saw a pair of Pythons marked from $1100 to $875, and they both looked great! Until I looked closer...Smolt. SMOLT? What's a Smolt?
Apparently it's a Smith with a Python barrel screwed onto it...have any of you heard of such nonsense?

So I worked through the crowd to the rest of the tables. There some neat things there, but nothing to really blow my dress up. I didn't see any DW auto's, not that they really stick out to me just yet, so there may have actually been some.
I found a total of 4 DW revolvers at various tables. This first .44 was the best of the bunch, but not especially a clean one owner. This side looked pretty nice, but the other side has a couple scuffs that go through to the metal...one on the frame & one on the shroud. I did get this guy's info, if anyone's interested.

There was a snub barrel sitting with this .44 that clearly came from something else & the seller tried assuring me that it went with this gun. I only convinced him after pointing out that the threads didn't even match. Sheesh!
The tag says $645...I would have offered maybe $500, if I was buying. The pic hides a lot, there were scratches all over it.

This Model 15 had scratches all over it, but the mechanics seemed good. At least the price was more reasonable.

This Model 15 was in the worst shape of all. It literally looked as if they dropped it in the parking lot & since their arms were full, they just kicked it all the way to the table.

Right at the end, I came upon a nice stash of DW grips. All but one were for small frame guns. The cheapest was $40 for the rubber Hogue & I stopped asking at $75.I almost grabbed that Zebra stripe one, but it had a sizeable chunk missing from the bottom rear.

The two in the lower left are Hi-Standard grips that looked flawless. The rest all had some wear marks, even though he claimed they were all new. (sorry, my camera didn't like the blue, it seems)

I was there for about 4 hours & only came away with some ammo. It was an ok time, but I was glad to get the heck outta there! It's more fun to go to gun stores, where there's overall peace & quiet.

Charger,
I think that laminated multicolored grip was rather unique. Would have looked cool with nickel. Most gun shows seem to have few Dans and few good ones at that. It seems you must be diligent and just every so often you stumble on a good deal. thanks for the report.

Once you factor out the blue tinge, that looks very similar to the Hogue grip I bought from a member here, lots of nice grain, and a laminated look, although I don't think is is laminated
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I would have bought that grip if it was a decent deal, but he wouldn't budge from $65 for it. It's been bumbing around in that box for quite a lot of miles, they all have, and the finish was wearing thin in spots. I would have to lay another coating on it, for it to look decent.
I was thinking $25-30 would have been more reasonable, in it's condition.

Cougar, that's funny!
And I agree, the custom stainless gun does look pretty cool.
I forgot to mention that on the way there that day, I got to see some BIG guns. They stopped traffic at the National Guard crossroads, to allow the training convoy to get all their toys across the road.

UDOT is widening the road, that's why the cones & stuff are around.
