I wanted to share with all of you that a fairly new Member here has provided a lot of great new information for the Registry, especially on 714/715's. I was especially taken with one email I got from him, which I will take the liberty of quoting part of (I've edited out some info)

Got it from RSR Wholesale Rochester and the invoice date is 08/06/83.
Wholesale price was xxxxx! S/N xxxxxxx.
Ready for this? For reasons I cannot explain at all, I put this gun up in its original packaging and I have never EVER fired this gun! For the life of me I do not know why and I know it was not some sacred promise or anything like that. I have owned and still do own other .44 mags and sure do shoot them, so I can't 'splain. I will remedy that, soon! Maybe this weekend if the weather breaks! I'll take my 12 yo son and make him fire the first round. Probably I'll hold onto it for him when he "comes of age".

I frequently get some really silly responses on the S/N Registry link, this one really made my day.
BTW-I'm not identifying Great Dad, but he can sure do so if he'd like, he fits right in to the Nuthouse that is DWF.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
