Hello DW friends.
I am having some serious withdrawals from not being able to go shoot any of my guns. I had back surgery the 1st of February and was told not to shoot for 6 months. It was actually about 7 before I felt strong enough to go and I was able to get in 3 good range days.
THEN, on November 18, I went on my first motorcycle ride since surgery and upon returning home, I rode into my shop and was turning the bike around and when rolling it forward, my right foot slipped, and the bike fell on my right ankle catching my foot under the saddlebag rails. My riding partner had to pick the bike off of me for me to get my foot free, I thought I was ok, but after about 30 minutes of hobbling around the shop, I decided I needed to have it checked out. The X-rays showed a broken leg right at the ankle where the tibia extends below the ankle socket. Since this was a "hanging" part of the bone, the doctor suggested that a couple of screws be put in it to make sure it healed securely. The surgery was the 27th and I will not be able to bear weight on the foot until Jan 7th when I get the boot off and can go back to wearing shoes. And I am betting I will need a couple of more weeks after that before I need to be doing much shooting.
The good side of is, I have had plenty of time to do some much needed cleaning on a few guns that really needed it.
