Anyone have any experience with 22 LR suppressors? For Christmas I bought myself a Ruger MkIII with threaded barrel and started the process for a firearms trust.

I like the MK 111's I have light that is threaded. Never wanted to hush it,  though If you hold the bolt closed and use sub sonic it could be very quiet!

I don't have one.......yet I would like to get me a salvo 12 shotgun suppressor for duck hunting but it will have to wait for a bit. Silencerco makes a 22 suppressor that can be taken apart and cleaned called the sparrow. I think it's pretty moderately priced.

Silencerco Sparrow.   There's several others out there as well - Gemtech, Tactical Solutions, Yankee Hill...whichever one you decide on make sure you can break it down for cleaning.

Those are really nice pistols. I have the Ruger Mk II with a scope. Really accurate up to 100 yds. There are a lot of different types of .22 LR ctgs. Just make sure you keep them subsonic or you will still get the sonic boom. Here is a good site for those that like shooting the. 22.cal.  Some guys shoot .22 rifles out to 350 yd with a 24 x scope. They are a lot of fun to shoot.

Thanks guys. I'm going to decide between a Sparrow, Spectre II or Element……I think. Only want to do this one time and have a M&P 22 with threaded barrel also. It seems some work better on pistols than rifles and some the opposite. Some have first round pop, others don't. More to this than I thought it would be.confused

Once I've shot the Ruger more I plan on using CCI SV if the pistol likes it. That's what I shoot in my Smith 41.  It's sub sonic and the barrel on this MKIII is only four inches.

Below is a photo. TALO model of a year or so ago. Snazzy flash hider…..laughIMG_4678.JPGImage Enlarger

I have a Spectre running on a 10/22.  It cycles about 99.9% and is very quit.  The setup is very accurate.  I break the can down about every 200-300 rds and clean. I recently fired a few clips out of a friends  22/45 with the can and it performed well.
All in all the 22LR is one of the best "movie quite" setups you can get.  They are cheaper and easier than other calibers.  It is one of my most used guns.

I have a Silencerco Warlok II on a Ruger 22/45.  Very nice but CCI quiets won't cycle the action.  Where this can really shines is on a bolt gun.  I have a Savage FVSR.  On the rifle, with CCI Quiet, you hear the firing pin click and then the bullet strike.Suppressed-Ruger.JPGImage Enlarger
