I was surprised to find out that Taurus manufactured a S&W 500 Magnum revolver with a 2" barrel. Has anyone ever fired a S&W 500 Magnum revolver with a 2" barrel? I cannot imagine the recoil when you consider the recoil energy of these bad boys is around 25 lbs to 45+lbs depending upon the load an bullet weight

Careful, that may be a .460, not a .500. I looked at the pics carefully but they are so poor quality that I can't tell for sure. It would be a good idea to query the seller before bidding.

I'd be more inclined to don an M1A1 Abrams before shooting this. Seriously, .500 S&W in 2" (or even .460)? Really?

I'm not one to usally bash Taurus but there has been
more than a few KB's with the Taurus 500's . Mostly the
frames are not holding up to more than a few hundred
rounds of fire.
