It's obvious a bunch of you guys watch GB very regularly. This gun looks nice and I want to bid on it but don't want to pay more than it's worth. I've been wanting a 15-2 in excellent condition. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Also would it be worth a try to contact the seller and ask him what he'd sell it for?
looks good from pictures. they are not the best pictures starting price is good, if the box matches the gun (correct sn.) then that is a fifty dollar bonus as a collector or resale down the road I haven't got a 357 yet but that is the type I would be looking at. I prefer the monson guns with heavy barrel. Just my prefence in feel.
I'm sure you'll here more by tomarrow!

Worth is in the eye of the spender, and prices vary in different areas, but just my 2 cents, if you can get her for under $400 you did OK. The good thing about a 15-2 is there are enough of them out there you have plenty to choose from if you are patient. Good luck.

Thank you guys for the info. I'm glad I asked because I was guessing 450. Would this be the better purchase over the one on GB for a .357 and what is that one worth?:

New question: What is a blued Dan Wesson .22 with 6″ vented barrel worth. The condition appears to be brand new. There is nothing to go with it like the tool or the box. He is asking 440.00. Thanks

1) On your first one:You need to +$15 for shipping, and + $ (if any) for a local FFL transfer. I doubt the seller will take any off auction offer this early, an outside offer probably won't fly this early unless you go way over the top. It's a nice looking 15-2, in my area $275-300 in going market rate for this one, but my area runs low on DW's
2) The AA link isn't hot so I didn't look yet
3) If you can grab a 22 6V for $440+ fees, I'd seriously consider it. If I walked into a local shop and saw that, it would be out the door. You don't shoot the box, and Eric can get you into a tool for $25.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Funny how the market varies. The guy who sold Gray Ghost the 15 FB (very local for me) said he was glad to get $279, and you can't get much for DW's in this area, and he was right. It's got to be pretty special to go over $300 around here, but they do go fairly fast under $300 around here.

Well you guys made me do it. I paid 400 plus the 10.00 nics check. I'll post pics later. Which reminds me my best friend may be selling his .22 pistol pack. He brought it up the other day so it may or may not happen. I'll tell him to let me know if he does want to sell it.

Actually I just forgot to mention in my previous post I'd let you guys if you'd like. If I could afford it I would buy it.
Update: I had to go over to my friends to borrow his .22 barrel wrench and saw the .22 pistol pac. I didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb but from what I can see it's in excellent condition, nearly new. He says people buy them but don't ever shoot them, lol. The original case is there but he said you can't put the barrels and gun in there because the barrels can slide down onto one another being as the case is so old. There's a new zebra wood grip in there also. Barrels are all heavy, no vents. 2.5"-8". The barrel wrench is starting to strip out in the plastic so I'm getting him a new one from Eric. I'm posting this because he sounds like he is inclined to sell that set.

I figure I would tell the people here before he does anything. I can post an occasional local Dan Wesson for sale. I'll look at it myself if anybody would like.
Here's a couple of pictures:

I'll search here but just in case I can't find it if someone happens to know the date of manufacture for 113** I would sure appreciate it.

I think there were probably many fewer .22's made than .357's. In the late 70's did you want the wimpy little .22lr that you grew up on in your youth, plinking on tin cans?
Or, did you want the big, bad .357 magnum (the cutting edge police choice)?
Also, these days, if you have a quality .22lr that you can shoot for a couple of hours for $5-10, are you going to sell it?
