Thanks for starting this tonite, I work a very long several days coming up, so I get to say I'm thankful for so much more than I can ever say.

With thanks to Montgomery Gentry:

But lord knows I'm a lucky man
God's given me a pretty fair hand

Especially thankful for my DWF Brothers, who put up with my mood swings and grumpiness.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve, I didn't know you were a fancier of Montgomery Gentry. He & Troy have a great combo going.cool

I am thankful to be living in America (1st) and in Utah (6th). In between one & six are kids, health, booze, DW's & carz-n-bikes...hehe!lol2 Utah is nice for the scenery, but #1 is America...that's where I was born & where I will die. I'm thankful to have been born here & to be here today. In a way, I wish it had been 100 years sooner (1864 would have been perfect), but I'll take what I can get.proud-to-be-an-american

I am thankful for my family and thier health and for all the grace that has been bestowed (heaped) upon me. I have had to face very little strife in my life, and it by no means due to me.

I am honored to be a part of this group and consider you all friends (albeit a little kooky for DW's).

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

Life; right now, it is good.  Even when it's bad, there are good things to take away and remember- like those who are right along side of you.  I guess it is the people and not the things that make life good.  This community of DWF brothers (no sisters, right?, that's weird) is a great example.

I'm also thankful that I'll be headed home to Louisiana after visiting my folks in Nebraska; it's cold up here in the mornings!

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Me too!  Me too!  I have been truly blessed.  After a disastrous first marriage, God blessed me with a great wife and mother.  By media standards, she's not gorgeous but to me she is the prettiest woman I've ever seen.  Early on we decided we weren't going to have any children (other than the two from my first marriage and the one from hers).  I've heard it said the quickest way to make God laugh is to tell him your plans.  He must have been rolling on the floor as the doc was asking "You sure you want to do this?  I've done thousand of vasectomies and the way I do them, they can't be reversed."  rofl  Now, fifteen years later, I've got a great 13 year old boy.  (And yes the irreversible reversed itself.  I felt it pop.)

I live it the greatest country in the world.  proud-to-be-an-american

Have a decent job.

My older boys are doing well.

(My health is not great but a lot of that can be fixed by me losing some weight.)

I've got great friends.  I own Made in America guns that go bang reliably.

Yep, life is pretty good.  (Now if we can just get some changes in governmental spending and regulatory habits, more can enjoy this great country.)

Thanks Jody for a great site.  Thank you moderators for helping Jody.  Thank you Eric for making great products.  Thank you LB for your artistry we call grips.

I too have much to be thankful for, just as the previous posters.  My greatest blessing is becoming a Christian at age 60.  Prior to that time I had every opportiunity to die and go to hell.  I have flown bug smashers to supersonic jets, raced motorcycles and boats, been in the military police, and owned horses and guns and still climb trees at age 71 deer hunting.  The worst accident involved a horse wreck.

I had 3 previous marriages before I met my current wife of 32 years.  Life was a disaster prior to marrying Diane.  She puts up with me for who I am and it has been great.  God brought her into my life when I was 39 years old and settled me down a lot.

I live in America. proud-to-be-an-americanWhere else would anyone have the freedom that we have?  If you don't like America, lets talk about a one way ticket to your choice.  Lots of things happen here that I don't agree with but maybe we can fix some of that in 2012.  And living in Alabama and it's gun laws are a blessing.  Maybe I'm a southern redneck but I love it and don't know any better.

Lastly, this forum is made up of the finest guys imaginable.  I only wish I could travel and visit with some of you.  It is so well managed.  I'm amazed at the way we all get along.  A note of humor always lifts the mood.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.  I hope you team wins the game and you hunters get old big nuts.

SHOOT thanks for starting this topic!  Like so many others I have been blessed with a wonderful wife of almost 12 years now and the most precious little 4 year old daughter!

I would like to thank all the members here for making the DWF what it is and to the moderators for helping me out!  However with the members we have here we have very little to moderate.

As the holiday nears and people take to the roads stay safe!

This is weird to quote my own post, but "God HAS given me a pretty fair hand".

I'm far from wealthy, I got some self induced health issues, I work pretty hard and long for a paycheck, etc., BUT

My wife and I are "original equipment" for each other

The two greatest kids a man could ever hope for

The smartest, most beautiful Granddaughter on earth (my apologies to all the other Granddads out there)

A remarkable second family (our "friends")

And, once again, DWF! This place keeps me marginally sane in a crazy world.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Wow ,  I hope and pray all of you will be here for many many years to come!  This place this time these folks.

I am thankful for my faith that He is our God and in all we do He has a hand!

Family gathering, food eaten and stories shared, what more could a person want!

Ron,  there is one female on here though she doesn't get on much.  She out shoots me every time and enjoys what ever I pull out to shoot on that day!  Won't say no, loves being a part of my collection!  Eric, you know who I am talking about!!!

God brought us together, just a short time ago and man I am the luckest man around!!

Thanks for all of you, your wisdom, your ideas, your ability to share what we enjoy!  DW lives on through each of you!

Hey make sure the turkey isn't frozen when you toss in the oil!!!

If any of you need a place to rest, I have room at the Inn, if you need a meal, Friday at 1:00 PM, if you need an ear to listen, I am here!

Any that maybe in Kansas come on by!
