Sorry guys, I do this every year, but
The Woodward Dream Cruise is running now, for any fan of high performance cars, and especially classic Muscle Cars, this is the place to be, either in person or online.
Woodward Avenue was the "unofficial" proving grounds for the American Muscle Car.
I cruised Woodward a lot in the Summer of '69, most notably in the #2 early production Daytona Charger, and most frequently in Dad's 1966 Impala SS convertible.
The graphic from this years T shirt:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Regrettably, no pictures. My friend's dad was the Manager of the Chrysler Clairepoint plant, where a lot of custom and pre production work was done. #2 was a red 440 4V car with a Tourque Flite transmission. The wing was body color and the nose showed a lot of body filler fitting. The dash carried a brass plaque identifying it as #2.
About five years ago Charger Fan sent me a link to a Forum where there was some discussion about who might own that car "today".
I gotta say, it turned a lot of heads, it was very likely the first sighting of this monster on Woodward
The Dream Cruise is amazing, there are people who ship their cars in from overseas to participate, right next to "bondo beaters".
And since someone already posted his "Dream Cruiser", anyone else want to jump in?

Boy, would I ever have loved to witness that scene back then!
I like too many cars to attempt to only pick ONE "Dream Cruiser", so I'll go with what I already have...my dream would be to finally restore my '70 Charger & DRIVE it! I'm on the fence about a color change from it's existing blue, but if I do, it's gonna look like this.
