Well I hate to do this but I must stop building grips. I just don’t have the time to do them any more as I have undertaken a business venture that will completely dominate my time. I and two other associates have decided to start producing 22 long rifle ammo. That’s right, due to the crazy hording and price gouging that has been going on for several years we decided to start producing ammo. Our plan is to only produce one kind, a standard 36 gr plated standard velocity rim fire sold in brick (550) quantity only.  Maybe something else later but not for a while. We have acquired an old fertilizer plant (local) and have investors putting up the capital. Right now we are wading through the red tape but so far everything is a go. It will be about at least 13 months before we are up and running because there are lots of equip to buy employees to train and the biggest challenge is to get the suppliers to commit to providing the components.   So far the BATFE has been far easier to deal with than the EPA but things are coming together.  This is a large leap of faith as far as employment stability goes but sometimes you just have to go for it. Any way I certainly won’t have time to do anything but work on the plant from here on out so my time on the forum will be limited as well as building grips are out of the question. I will keep y’all updated as we progress.  I guess it is time for me to say April Fools; you really weren't buying all that garbage were you. Sorry guys couldn't help myself.

I was patting myself on the back for bidding high on the left handed thumb rest grip. Ya got me LB. I will contact you soon for a couple of grips. One day you will give it up. I suspect other procrastinators will do the same.

LOL - Good one. Although very believable with the whole .22 LR angle.

Man, I havent been had by an April Fools joke for years but you had me all the way on that one!

The .22lr angle, very believable. I have to hand it to you on this one, you can spin a pretty good tale.

My thoughts on this:

1) Anyone who can get up to speed on .22 lr manufacturing in a year will become a millionaire

2) It would take HUGE $$ to get up and running on significant manufacture of .22 lr in the forseeable future

3) By now we know, you are not that guy!

Good try, but I was not even close to buying in on this. You are a guy who does what he loves, and loves what he does.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well I am working nightwork this week. The ol' brain gets a little slow in the Sunlight and makes me an easy target.

My first reaction was stun. Then I went to what, then cry, then crying, then Tapping I realized someone was just stir. Now, it's bow downyou got me and remember I'm watching you Mr. Bruce. evil grin

Thanks for playing along guys. I am not real clever when it comes to such things but I figured the whole 22 LR story was just outlandish enough to pique some interest and distract guys from where the story was heading.  Truth is I wish I had the funds and kohonahs to do just that.

You had me right up until the 13 months to get the plant running. BTW I am still enjoying my LBs.

It's not funny in any way.

I've gotta disagree here. This one was well thought out & delivered, my friend. occasion
