I love gun shows. Who gives a hoot about the price to get in. If you can't afford $7.00, find a different hobby. I enjoy looking at the guns for sale and knowing there are very few guns in the place that I don't have at least one nicer at home. My wife hates guns shows (as well as car and motorcycle shows), so I get to enjoy being surrounded by objects of my effection without being encumbered by having to look at costume jewlery. I've never bought a gun at a gun show; no need. There are enough for sale elsewhere.

I have bought 4 guns at gun shows. Three were private sales, no paperwork, no tax. The 4th was a deal I cut about 30 minutes before it closed and the guy was going out of business when he got home. I will strike up a conversation with anyone that will talk to me. If they have a gun box under their arm I ask if they just bought or selling. That's the way we start out. Sometimes we deal, sometimes we don't. I think $7 is a fair price for about 3 hours of entertainment. Beats the heck out of going to a movie.
