Because I spend the next month scraping it off the outside front edges of my cylinder.
I don't mind the blackened rings round the chamber mouths but the raggedy silver-colored stuff on the outside really bugs me! Plated or jacketed from now on for me.

Are you using soft lead or a hardened lead alloy?

I don't mind shooting lead, but I sure hate cleaning up afterward
I do have some lead wadcutters, but most everything is jacketed, some plated. Since I'm only shooting .357, .45, 9mm, .223, bullet selection is easy
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
