I can clearly see 'Dan Wesson Firearms' Norwich NY right on the frame. Looks like a Dan to me. Somebody did a nice engraving job on it too.

Naw, I believe we have some photo shop or something going on there. Look at it closely. The cylinder is wrong as is other stuff. But I could just be.

Looks pretty funky to me as well. Serial Number on the same side as the sideplate screws?
Cylinder rotation looks wrong as well as the rear sight.
Above all is the different shading of the serial number/manufacturer area on the "side plate"
It would be interesting to know more about this gun.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Agree w/ LB & Steve. Cylinder rotation is wrong, the trigger, hammer, side plate and rear sight are all S&W. Wondering what the story is...

It's a S&W frame. Bob S. made a few of these hybrids which I've read about before. Here's a piece on it....
Here's the guy's art page...

You guys have not searched the archives. I have posted several times about this gun. It is a Smith /Dan hybrid. Bob Serva had six of each made in at least 4 calibers, 22lr ,357, 44mag, and 45acp before he sold the company to CZ. I think thereare 2 more calibers. He was going to have S&W make the frames and he would provide the barrel assemblies. They were serialized Dan Wessons. There is no records from Smith and Wesson. When Bob sold DW the guns were distributed to executives.
S&W recieved the right to use Dan Wesson technology. They used the barrel and shroud on their X frame guns first. Then the N frame 8 round guns. I think they also incorporated other Dan Wesson tech too. S&W did it for accuracy. They only sell barrel tools to FFLs and gunsmith. There is a very limited number of barrel options.
The gun I have was bought off of Gunbroker. The seller had bought it off Gunbroker and it was sold by Bob Serva. I have all the providence of that original transaction. The owner before me had it engraved by Ian Morrison. The Zebra grips and 2 other grips are custom made to look like DW one piece grips but are S&W 2 piece stocks. I am not sure that a Smith frame is better than a Dan Wesson but the biggest complaint about Dan Wessons was the cylinder release in front of the cylinder.
Lastly, unfortunately other DW barrel assemblies will not work on the Jim Cirillo model. Instead of a roll pin located on the frame to aline the shroud there is a flange on the top rail of the shroud that fits into a slot on the top rail of the frame. It might be possible to dove tail in the flange on other shrouds.
