Hi there everyone!
I acquired a Wesson 357 mag model 11. The hand spring was wadded up. I have tried to find the propper spring. The one I ordered and installed worked when I tested for proper movement. But when shooting it shot a few times and stopped rotating the cylinder. I like this gun and would love to shoot it. Can anyone help?

The models 11 and 12 have a hand spring that must be bent around the hand. It is held in place by the sideplate and it rubs against the side plate leading to failure. The first change made was to the hand and spring at the 10,000 serial number mark. The redesigned hand has a slot in the side of it that the end of the spring fits into. No more rubbing and early failure.
EWK sells the early version of the spring. I suggest you buy a used later style hand from ebay and a newer style spring. It would not be expensive.
