Hello, I have had this Dan Wesson for about 15 years and haven't shot it for maybe the last 10 so sadly I'm getting rid of it. I bought it off my father in law which had purchased it who knows when and never shot it, I shot maybe a box through it and put a dot sight on it and a Hogue grip (Have original) anyway my post isn't to sell here its to find out information about it, like how do I tell what frame it has or model it is obviously it has a 6" barrel and is blue but that's all I know about it.
I also wanted to know other than the .357 ammo can I shoot the 38 special or the 38+P ammo? and what would a gun like this sell for in today's market? Oh and by looking at serial number can I tell what year it was made?
Thanks!

I looked at the pdf and not quite sure what im looking for, am I looking for an about range? If so I would be around 1983. Also, as for my second half of the question?

Correct on both accounts; you can figure out a range by using the sn list and you can shoot all 357 and 38 cal rounds in the 15-2. The gun itself would go for a low of $350 to a high of $500, depending on the market. The "book" value for VG condition is $325. The fact that the shroud is tapped could turn off some would-be buyers. Hope that helps. Welcome to the DWF!
