Heck, I'd be really happy with some Crimson Trace combat grips for the little frame guns!
I really dream and lust for a good lever rifle in .410/.454/.45LC. It can easily be done. Would be a great "companion" for a Judge with .454 Or - dream on - a DW with that set. OAL for .410 in a lever gun would be no issue with the 2 1/2" shell, and little issue with the 3" since the OAL of a .30-30 is only a half-inch less throw for the bolt. The DW revolver would be the same size as a Judge, but maybe retain the optional barrel/shroud swap?
The lever action rifle would be SUCH a good deer gun in close quarters and such a dandy replacement for "assault" household carbines when the feds come to take those away in a couple months. The tubular magazine of a lever gun would not come under attack since it's not removable. Those tubes are easy to reload in a hurry while in action.
(Once upon a time both Winchester and Marlin (maybe still) offered a "take down" lever carbine where the barrel and tube was removed for storage ease. Seems to me if necessary the .410 3" barrel could happen for a .45 LC/.454 gun. In fact that other barrel could be made as a smooth bore making it a delightful squirrel gun or survival gun.)
An accessory "Rifleman" stock would make it awfully handy with a "just legal" barrel. Maybe flat-top it with Weaver base or proprietary rings but keep "see through" for the iron sights. A rail underneath would make for a good light or laser mount. Just dreamin'...
IF CZ had a butt hair to show they'd offer up a semi-auto carbine to replace the Ruger .44 Mag carbine.
Don't get me wrong guys - I adore the DW Supermag calibers. But for me and a zillion everday shooters and even reloaders, life would be okay with off-the-shelf ammo.
(BTW: I keep both an M1 carbine and a Marlin lever .44 mag for "house guns". The gun banners may want to ban the big mags for the Car but I have a dozen 30 round and a couple dozen 15 anyway. They'll never come for the lever gun in my remaining lifetime.)
