Welcome Gs-Daddy,

You've come to the only place on the planet to get the info you're looking for, and more than you could imagine. I will not beat around the bush....Post Pics.  rofl

Leave a post in the new members thread so we know all about you, well whatever you want to share.  I know someone here can answer your questions.

geradsdaddy-

Welcome to Dan Wesson Forum. Identifying your Dan Wesson will be a little easier if you can post a picture of it. A couple questions for you real quickly:

1) Is it marked .38 Special?

2) Is it blue or Stainless?

3) Does it have a fixed or adjustable rear sight?

4) Does the barrel shroud continue straight back to meet the frame, or is there a "foot" (we call it a "Porkchop") that extends down from the shroud where it meets the frame?

5) Is it an interchangeable or fixed barrel model?

6) Do you know anything of the gun's history, or is it new to you?

Unfortunately, serial number records on Dan Wesson's are pretty much non-existent.

When you have an opportunity, please stop by our New Members Area, and tell us more about yourself and your Dan Wesson.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
