I own a Coyote classic. It has a single digit serial number. Its not the same as the ones Ive seen in pictures, since it doesnt have any sights at all. Just drilled and tapped for a scope like the target model. I aquired it in a trade several years ago, still in its origional box and wrapping. Box is unfourtunately now gone. Its a great shooter, very accurate, but the trigger although not bad, isnt great either. I honestly havent shot it much, because I thought it may have some value some day. Unfourtunately, as my luck normally runs, Im beginning to think it may just be to obscure to ever be worth any real money.
If there is any interest, I could take some pictures for you. I was just digging around for information on it when I stumbled upon this discussion.

Absolutely, we would love to see some of your Coyote. The more the merrier!
You may be right regarding the value, they are rare enough that any decent collector value may remain subdued for the next x-amount of years. I think that as the value of DW's as a whole continues to rise, that will eventually increase the interest in "all things DW", including the scarce rifles.

I was in Charlotte at the nra show in 2000 I believe, and Serva had a prototype 223 bolt action that I looked over and talked to him quite a bit about, it had a cut back forearm on it. I watched for it but never saw any of them, not suprised as I waited over 3 years for him to make my 41.
