confused Why is it that stainless steel guns bring consistently more on auction than an identical gun in blued steel?  Just wondering.  Personally I like the blued look, always have.  Guess I'm old school when it comes to guns.  Don't get me wrong, I want some 7 series to go along with the blued ones.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Yo, dawg...it's all bout the BLING, baby!laugh

It's either that, or stainless is just simply easier to get looking like it's never had a single round down the pipe...with the right technique, or course.wink

Although stainless & blued DW's do tend to compliment each other, so why resist the urge? Find out for yourself!dwas hehelaugh

For me, it is I don't have to worry about ruining a great blue job on a revolver.  Best looking gun I've ever seen is Dave's blued Titan.  I was nervous just holding it and there was a towel between me and it.  (Thank you Dave, for trusting me to hold it.)  Stainless doesn't seem to show wear as much.

CF, Shoot, Thank you, thank you, thank you for the gun porn.  drool  worship  That starts my day with a smile.

I like both too, but the SS seems lighter and to me and it doesn't rust at least  not like carbon steel guns. It's harder to machine. And doesn't loose it's finish like blued steel. SS barrels barrels will last longer than chromemoly barrels. SS guns may not be a hard a carbon blued pistols.  It doesn't worry me to get the SS guns wet or stand in the rain with them. Its best to have both. smile

I'm just easily amused by bright shiny objects. It's interesting that the blued gun is the shiniest in this picture:

The sun hit just right, and that 15-2 "out-blinged" the nickel coolcoolcoolcool

Seriously, I just like the look of stainless, along with the knowledge that minor dings and imperfections are more easily repaired. Plus, no one will EVER accuse me of cleaning my guns too often, maybe the stainless is more forgiving.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

^this...

Although I have given up every single SS gun I ever had ( and pretty quick) while I rend to hold on to the Blued. Someone commented on the SS being lighter. I do tend to find the SS guns (of any brand) to be lighter and to somehow feel less... substantial in the hand ( not a good thing).

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

Must be just a personal thing. I like a nice blue gun. Stainless just doesn't have the "wow" factor.
