Whe
I am getting close to the point of selling mine as I also have no one to leave them to.
You should keep the ones that bring you joy. Sell the rest to us. Treat yourself to a trip, pay-off a mortgage, retire early.......
I have not had a mortgage for years, and I have been retired for going into my eighth year. When I decide to sell some of my rare ones might offer them up but not going to give them away for sure. Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

My D W Pistol pacs I bought new. The 357 in 1979. I sold it for 8 times what I paid for it. The 44 I bought new in the early 90s. I sold it for 6 times what I paid for it. I sold a 410 winchester pre WWII that my Dad bought new. Sold it for $2280. All the rest brought way more money than I thought they would bring. All the guns I sold except for DW 44 have been bought by family members between 1923 and 1979. Not counting the 2 DW the most paid for the newest one was $200. I'm done with Gun Broker because of some of the buyers. I have two rifles that sold and the buyers what me two pay the shipping, FFL fee and the insurance. They said I was charging to much for fees. I told them that I have no contol of any of said fees that the FFL Dealer sets the fees. So tonight I pulled 17 guns from Gun Broker. I have newer guns that I didn't list. I did manage to sell 9 guns and ammo to friends and family.

I use Guns International now not Gunbroker. It's only $18 to list a gun for 3 months. I have sold every gun I listed there. It may take a bit longer but the upside is so much better. First $18 vs 6% on GB, Second there is no 1099 at the end of the year, Every gun you sell on GB your going to pay tax on it as the 1099 counts as income. Also you can pass on savings to the buyer as no sales tax needs to be paid. It's just two private people making a sale. Yes you still have to send a gun to a FFL but that's required on any transaction that is mailed. Also you do not have to worry about an auction. They can be good or bad depending on if you list it without a low starting bid or a reserve. I list them there at what I think is a fair price and if it does not sell you can lower the price until the market sells the gun. I sold both the ones I listed on the forum and got the price I wanted. $1400 for the 715 with the extra barrel and $1200 for the IHMSA 744.

Thanks for letting me know about Guns International. I've sold 11 guns on gunbroker. for about 15 K. I have 3 more listed. They run out in less than 4 days. I sold another 13 guns and about 12,000 rds of ammo to friends and family for 17 K. I used all of it towards my new 2023 TACOMA.
