 Hello from Phoenix.

I used to have a DW 357 that I shot Pistol Silhouette with decades ago and loved it. Sold it in a moment of weakness to get a 44 Mag of another brand.

Anyway, I went shooting a few days ago with a friend who brought out a DW 357 he inherited from his dad. I think I may have to find another one for myself now. I had forgotten how great they are.

I got my friend to lend me the gun for awhile because it needs a couple things and I said I would try to find them.

Glad to find a forum for this great gun!

Hello and Welcome from Prescott.  You'll like the folks here and it's almost impossible to stump them all with a question.

Nice looking DW.

A model 15-2 pretty much defines Dan Wesson revolvers. There are many other models/styles/variants, and they are all part of the DW Heritage.

We can help you (your friend) find pretty much whatever you need, ask away.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Welcome to the  dwffrom PA.  If you rekindle your affair with your friends DW, The model 15 & 715's are out there and obtainable via Gunbroker , shows and sometimes dealers without too much trouble.

Thanks for the nice welcome.

I don't know if I should start a new thread or just ask here, but you can see in the photo I posted that this gun needs a cylinder stop and the side plate screw. Any help on finding them is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Dean in Phoenix

Dean,

You should be able to obtain these two parts from Dan Wesson in New York.  Don't go through CZ's website.

Thanks, I tried calling this afternoon, (607-336-1174 Ext 21) but it was too late (East Coast). I will try again tomorrow.
