Hello from South Texas!
I have owned a Blued 15-2 Pistol Pack with four vented heavy barrels and three grips for about 14 years. I love this pistol but every time I shoot it the revolver just shows me how much better it is as a tack driver then I am as a shooter.
I am looking to sell it to a friend but I cannot find a fair price to tell him how much it is worth. It is in +98% excellent condition and was built in Monson Mass. The S/N is 357 Boo37xx.
I have seen values that vary from $1100 to $600 so I am confused and could use some guidance.

Welcome to the forum!
That's certainly a nice looking pack you have there! Here lately auction prices seem to be in the $850 -$1100 range depending on condition. Since yours is so nice and it has the Zebrawood grips I would lean towards the higher end at auction.
The fabric seems to be a darker shade than what we normally see so it may not be original in the case. Do you know if it has been changed? Guys, correct me if I'm wrong on this one...
Normally if I see them locally the price seems to be more in the $850 range. I certainly wouldn't see it for any less than that.
Hope this helps!

I agree that it is a beautiful Pack, possibly not complete as I don't see a belt buckle. Zebra grip is a big plus here, as well as the other wood grip. It seems that DW's run a little high in TX, so I'd say $900-1000, depending on how good a friend he is.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm no PP expert....... but I would put that one in the $900 + range any day. That is not a true zebra, but a DW exotic--That is only the second one I have ever seen, I have the other one. The finger groove is also a little different with a high polish finish and nice grain.
Some of my orignal PP's have fabric of different shades, so it is hard to tell if it is original, especially from a picture with unknown lighting.
No matter what--that is a nice looking Pac.

Thanks to all that have posted. The color of the fabric is a rusty orange as Dan Fan posted and it has four brass looking buttons holding the fabric to the foam in the lid. The case is brown vinyl and aluminium.
The exotic wood grip is made to an angle to the grain of the wood. I will try to post another pic of the edge grain later today since it is really interesting.
No belt buckle was with it when I bought it...I have also seen some pictures of pistol packs with key rings but it would be missing as well.
The only front sites that I have are the red ones but I have seen here white and yellow.
All in all I love the 15-2 but I never use it anymore. I will show it to my friend and let him know what it is worth. If he doesn't want it I will let you guys know.
If there is anything else I can document on the pistol for the fourm please let me know.
Shoot Safe!

I have some family in Texas, in fact South Texas to be correct. We might just be relatives of sort, so being how family always Trump's friends you should sell that PP to me. .
Now I do expect the Kin discount, and of course I will owe you the rest which I can get to ya if you happen to be around that 24 hour period after I get the tax return or any time I hit the lotto, you know I am good for it .
Fun aside, a true +98 % condition would be hard to beat. To the right person the pack is worth alot. More than one DW has been bought for over it's value. But a stack of Benjamin's sure talk's louder than a number on paper (or screen).

I agree with the general consensus, with $900 being the low end & $1000 being a fairly close current market price. It could bring a little more on GB for example, but that would depend on the whims of the bidders what week. IMO, the exotic grip makes up for the missing buckle.
BTW, the DW keyrings were a Norwich item, if I'm not mistaken. But of course, over time, one could easily find it's way into an earlier Pac.

I was thinking of setting a reserve of $1000 and a Buy it now! of $1200 plus the cost of 2nd day shipping to the US for the lower 48 states. Payment via postal money order. I should be putting it up on Gunbroker.com in the next two days.
I will post a note here when I put it up.
It cracks me up to see guns listed (that are worth $1200) lthat have a reserve of $2000 and a Buy it Now of $4000. I am not that hung up on squezzing every dollar out of the buyer. The seller might as well not post it at all.
I would rather ask a fair price and post the best pictures and descriptions I can make and sell the item the first time. This will be my first try at selling a gun online so I am taking advice. Please let me know if you have any tips.
One tip I have received that I thought was great was to cover in bubble wrap then tape every item that will be shipping. I would want the gun to arrive as the buyer saw it online not beat up.

Sounds like a proper strategy with correct pricing to me. I would suggest you get a GunPal account and accept that for payment as well: buyer protection and no waiting. That's assuming the buyer has a GP account. It's growing in popularity.
